I recently just switched to Schneider Bulk, they will make sure you are ready before throwing you out on the road.
They test everyone all the time to keep you up on everything.
Now I don't know how they do the inexperianced guys, after day 2 in Houston they seperate inexp and exp classes.
Don't believe all u hear about "experienced guys never work for them" and so on.
Guys with 15+ years with schneider took time to show the proper way of doing things here, I myself have 13.5 years driving but wanted to learn about tanks.
You can make a living here, you just have to learn the ropes, and a good TE that works with you goes a long way.
All big companies have good and bad, you just have to find a place you are happy. Stay in good standing with your DBL and they know you are dependable and ready to run and make all you can and should keep you busy.
Going in for hometime tomorrow after being out 13 days for 3 days off

Do you have any advice for me? I have been driving every truck imagineable for th last 8years in the army but as a fueler(petroleum supply specialist) my main job was driving fuel tankers and 5k tankers. I have already got my CDL in Kansas with tanker endorsement and am waiting on my HAZMAT right now. I am looking for regional tanker jobs but I am willing to do regular trucking to get my foot in the door.

There are a ton of opportunities in Indiana. If you are looking for ok pay starting out and don't mind working hard. Marion, IN has a dollar general that U.S. Express hires out of, and Werner but I would go with U.S. Express there is also a Walmart dc in that area just outside of Gas City, IN that U.S. Express hires from. Might be a few other that hire out of the Walmart but not sure. Not real sure on the pay for the Walmart but I do know the Dollar Gen has a $950-$1000 wk min. But it's hard work and a lot of tight backs. Of course you can make more than that but you have to run your butt off. Best of lck to ya, just be sure you do your homework on whatever company you decide to go with.
