So this is my first post but, I have used trucker report in the past to refernce, so I apologize for posting in the wrong thread.
My co - driver has leased a truck through celadon not sure if it's through an actual lease company or not, but she leased a 15 lonestar in febuary.
I started driving with her in early march, the odometer was at 17k. And by 21k the truck threw a stop engine light and has since 03/11.
Every time we bring the truck out of the shop we can't get 50 miles away before we have the same problem.
We have been sitting since that time and fighting with the company about payments. Would anyone know where to refer me to get this mess cleared up?
We would like to continue driving of course, but we are being told the company will only reimburse a week payment and we are not allowed to trade in for another.
I guess I really just need advice on what our next move should be, as far as leaving this company or fighting it for longer.

What shop are you taking it to? International dealer or Quality?

International every time, it's been to 4 different locations. And the same problem with the same result at each.

You have a walk away lease? Hope so. I would walk as opposed to paying for a truck that nobody can figure out how to fix. Been sitting over a month and they won't let you trade it or at least defer your payments? Run away.

It's a Cummins, I believe an isx model the original 400 that should have come stock, I am aware of other drivers who are having the similar problem and we have pointed that out to the dealerships.
I'm mostly concerned with the treatment of this company, you can't rightly expect to pay for something broken when it's so new, yet they won't work with us to get another truck or to defer the payments.

Exactly. Walk now - do they expect you to get another job to make the payments? Chalk it up to experience.

Why not your leasing the truck from them so you are responsible for it. You make TRUCK payments and you pay for the breakdown. These newer trucks have a lot of problems its why everyone is saying going Pre emissions. I would walk away now and save your self a lot of money. @ 21k miles and its throwing a stop light? That truck is gonna be nothing but problems. The reason they cant fix it? Cuz they don't know whats wrong with it. Do you remeber when cars first had these emissions problems? It took them almost 10 years to fix it. We are not near fixing these problems in trucks.

Unload your stuff out of the truck and find another company. 100's of companies would love to hire you as a team. Stay away from lease programs and become company drivers running team. There's some really great team companies out there.

There will be drivers standing in line to lease that same truck as soon as you leave.
One driver with another company just walked away from a deal like you're in with a Prostar. He said he owes the company $4000.00 in repair bills. He finally realized the longer he stayed, the more in debt he would be. Of course he's not going to pay the $4000.00 repair bill either.
