Had to cancel this week's loads. I hate that I really screwed over a good agent today. was scheduled to pick up at 9. Left him a vm at 4. I'm sure he didn't get it till 730. With such short notice, even if he does get it covered, we will still be several hours late picking it up.

Uh oh. Is everything okay with ya and the truck?
-
Truck is fine. Been fighting what I thought was a bad cold since Friday. Woke up in the middle of the night with my teeth on fire. knew then it was no cold but a tooth infection. So left a vm with the agent explaining that I was gonna try to tough it up but to call me if he could pull me off it. So started to head towards the pickup, which really pissed my wife off. Made it about an hour up the road when I got really bad and had to turn around. Maybe it was the vibration of the road breaking it loose, or maybe it was this infection getting a lot worst, very fast, but an infection pocket the size of a walnut popped up in my neck just under the jawbone. It was pea sized when I first noticed it. In five minutes it's walnut or golf ball sized.
An hour to go before a local oral surgeon can see me. Extremely lucky I could get one on such short notice and save the trip to the E. R. -
Man wish you the best luck. I've been there done that. You are lucky a oral surgeon can get you in most have long waits. When i had my mouth surgery i had a 2 months wait but i had some antibiotics to help. After that i was off of driving for like 3 weeks.

what the heck is going on with you, wolfhound. this isn't like you, you seemed to be mad at the world. all this seems to be out of character for you. it may be something other than trucking bothering you.
but the guy stated plainly why he chose to have a lumper unload, it was so he wouldn't have to log on duty . if you aren't unloading the truck you aren't required to log on duty. -
yeah , I was just inside the gate on the left. picked up tarp straps from store and left around 10 to unload and reload in lexington -
Dang spyder knew I should of taken that gravy

Well duct tape saved a road call. One of my coolant lines had a bad leak. Used duct tape to fix it so I can get it fixed. Headed to sc with a decent load might grab one to near Louisville that pays good N get my decals done. Does anyone know if Venice has a site? I don't remember the number I wanted lol

In orientation Dean said vans have to log 15 min and flats have to log 30. So that would be a company policy. And you do have to show unloading when you unload. Even if all you do is go inside check in.
-
I did show my 15 when I got there. 15 loaded 15 unloaded. Although I only show what it takes. Most customers it's in n out in 10 mins for check in.
skateboardman Thanks this.
