I think as long as there isn't any exhaust leaks you should be good. I thought I heard a guy with straight pipes parked in the drivers lounge lot.

You have to have some type of muffler on there.
memphis jack and TaylorMade407 Thank this. -
Mines are still up to spec, I'm just trying to help some one else out.

OK, so I've been home a bit over a week. Started to get on here a few days ago but you all were bickering like no end. Looks like that's over so. Home time is good for one thing and all these things I "tried" to do before I got to Mercer but money was always to tight.
Starters, had an APU installed. Next took truck to dealer and had them do an overhead and take a close look at engine as I was thinking about doing a rebuild. Was told to hold off for another 500k to a mil. (Really maybe 2m on a motor?) finally had a satellite dish installed.
You all can bicker. But I know I've gone from just being able to pay for hotels to paying for hotels and all the goodies on my truck. With all the goodies now maybe I won't need hotels anymore. I was always against idiling my truck..
But with all that said, I'm looking forward to start to looking for a load Tuesday. Coming out of Phoenix I'm not looking for much. But when I glanced on Thursday I was looking at $2+. For here that ain't bad. -
I've stayed in the truckHow many miles are on your engine? Do you do oil samples? That's the best way to find out if your truck needs somethin. Im ordering the kits when I get ready to go home.

I can't understand thise who have complained of no good paying loads. I went to FL just because the load went to where my best friend lives. Knkwing that I would accept whatever was available coming out. That was a personal trip moreso than a business decisoon. I still got a 2500 lb load at over 2.70/mi to NJ. But rates out of FL are awful, right? I can't comprehend why some consistently have good rate loads and others seem unable (unwilling?) to find decent loads. I still think its part of the "what I don't do and where I don't go" line of thinking.CJndaTruck and TaylorMade407 Thank this.

I went over a million miles on it about 2 months ago. I've had the oil analyzed several times all with no containments showing up.

Yes, I agree. Oh don't get me wrong, I have areas I won't go. And I have things I won't do. I'm not taking a 45k load with 8' tarp to Billings, MT for $2. But there is a price that I would take that load. And so far I have had great 'luck' with finding great loads that fit my needs.
Honestly, I think some people just like to whine and blame others for their short comings. I realize everyone is different, but I'm having a very hard time understanding how anyone "fails" here.roshea, larry2903 and whoopNride Thank this. -
Yeah, in my short time here, I'm having a real hard time figuring out how people fail here as well. I mean, I'm slow still with the skateboard stuff all being new to me. I am still learning the freight lanes and the load board, but I am definitely doing better than I could have hoped for before coming over.CJndaTruck and roshea Thank this.

I'm headed to Mercertown in less than a week. I have 10 chains and binders. I read somewhere they want you to have 12. Should I pick up a couple more or will this be an issue at orientation?
