Chain and strap tied downs on Fontaine Revolution are 5400 WLL. Manufactures may have different WLL among different models, and WLL can depend on how a chain is wrapped around one or two spools, a spool and stake pocket, even how it is attached to a stake pocket. Cannot assume all attachment points are even rated equal to 5/16 chain let alone 3/8.

That's great to know. The Fontaine I had was older apparently they've changed some things, and not for the better in my opinion.

The one I had was a combo too not all aluminum maybe that makes a difference on which chain tie downs they use?

Have to check the securement ratings on each piece of equipment, as I said it can vary between models from the same manufacturer. I found it interesting that the Fontaine I listed above says rub rails are NOT rated for ANY load securement and not to use them. However they are also not traditional flat rails and would be a little harder to use anyway.

I've seen a few of them around I don't think I'd like the rub rail and I do not like the tail lights on those new Fontaines at all.

HaHa, all I know is I add 6 hours to my plan if it requires tarps. If there isn't an extra 6+ hrs available on the trip for me to tarp then I won't take it because I know I'll be late. ;(

New exhaust from the turbo back. New tires. New shocks. New a/c compressor. New brakes. I think I'll spend the weekend panhandling
