Go back and just park $38,000 of equipment? That would be real smart. When did I ever saw I have been screwed by an agent? The rates do suck this year, sorry you don't see it. Even the agent at the load site the other day said they suck. But I guess you will try to say he didn't say it, since you were there.

I'm going to go to one for a few months and come back, so I will think these rates are good
-
If the rates stay here you might not come back.lol, lol, lol, lolWolfHound2/27 Thanks this.

The rates suck every where. At every company. It doesn't matter what the name on your truck is. it isn't a Mercer thing, it's an industry wide thing. That's all that guys like skateboardman and me have been saying to you for the last few weeks when you say rates here are so low.
we've also stated that there are still good rates to be found here, just takes a little more effort to find them than it did the last couple years. Case in point, I'm loaded right now at 2.79/mile. I was number twenty one on it. It weighs 11k lbs.
Twenty guys passed on it cause it's going to wv and needed 6 ft tarps. Most of them probably didn't even see the load cause they have told their coordinator they don't run wv cause of the mountains. thing is, it's going less than 5 miles pass the Ohio river so they screw themselves out of a great load by having their preferences set so tight.TruckerPete1990 Thanks this. -
So my heater core is leaking MAYBE thats why ive been having trouble sleeping...

$2.79 means nothing. If it's going 200 miles that is a crap rate. How do you know what every other company is paying. I watch outsider load boards. I have been to other companies load boards. I'm not bashing Mercer. I like Mercer. If I didn't I would. Or be waiting to see what rates are going to do. My only complaint about Mercer is they tell you in orientation you can book loads off the outside load boards. But when you try to they will not let you. The best answer they have given was have an agent book it for you. That way they can get a bigger cut on I load I found.

I see a load to VA paying $2.77 on 535, I'm 50 miles from it, the rate goes down $.24/mile on a 50 mile deadhead on a short load!

Don't count deadhead
