At a Pee-A-Lot on I-75 a few minutes from my live unload in the morning in Cleveland TN, north of Chattanooga.
Yesterday I finished my load into Chicago from Houston, finished my short haul from the City out to a Walmart DC in Sterling IL, then ran mty 3 hours down to Jacksonville IL for a D/H to Cleveland TN.
Checked Mac30 on the way down and again a few minutes ago. Filled with crap as is the case most of the time lately. Three loads, all to take your empty trailer to different places in the Atlanta metro area during afternoon rush hour and drop your trailer and bobtail out!!! Seriously?!? What are they smokin'?? I've got a brand new trailer and I'm not about to do the above and then have to go chase down another.
I let 'em die on the vine and let my ECT know that if they try to come back and jam one down my throat as "next load" I will outright refuse it. Simple as that. -

Deadheaded home after not finding any load offers or preplans. Found out I paid the bills for the week and socked away another $140 in maintenance and have a settlement of .55 cents, all on one run from Vegas to Lewiston Idaho, so I am taking a few days off. My truck needs another oil change, front axle alignment, new steers (bought one in advance), and have the drives all rotated.
Put a couple applications in while I am here sounds like a good idea....seeing that it worked for someone here, the company sees us looking elsewhere for employment and their cooperation mysteriously changes. Even if they aren't companies I would consider, maybe it'd be good for human resources to start receiving random calls from employers to verify my employment.
Anyways, I am up in the mountains....free of it all, though temporarily so.HousTank Thanks this. -
You'll get a message from someone high up in the company to call them and discuss what you think these other companies can offer that Swift doesn't.
