I'm scouting locations for a feature film shoot and we're looking for independent, mom and pop style truck stops still in operation and that see plenty of traffic. We're trying to find one with a good, old fashioned diner, lounge and game room. We're specifically trying to find stops in North and South Carolina but are open to any suggestions you guy may have in the south.
Really appreciate any help or idea you may have. Thank you.

The Dixie Boy truck stop in the movie "Maximum Overdrive" was a built from scratch set but looked legit enough that real truck drivers tried to park there.
