Knight Transportation INFOMATION NEEDED!

I drove for Knight for about 1 year in 2003. They treated me pretty good and kept me rollin. Pay was good and trucks were nice. That was 10yrs ago. Don't think they have changed much since then. Good luck to you and stay safe.

 

Knight sucks so bad they opened a training school. Go knock yourself out and come back in a few months and tell us how bad this line of work is. FYI, don't do anybody "favors" when they ask, and they will. There's nothing in it for you but those stupid little "favors" will usually net you about the same as if your sitting without a load.

 

Also Tallman's just phishing for a referral bonus. He disappeared a few months ago after getting called out on falsely stating he ran 3700 miles per week.

 

DNA, Get things right. I have never gotten a referral bonus nor will i ever accept one. As for the 3700 miles i said i run upto 3700. I never said this was my average. As for disappearing? No i just decided that people like yourself just are old grumpy men who sit around the truck stop diners and ##### and moan all night long and the best thing to do is let you just go off into your lala land and let you sit in your misery. Just because you could not make it at this company doesnt mean that others can't. Just because you might of not liked it it doesn't mean others don't. To each driver there is something that will always piss them off about the company they run for. Did i ever say knight is perfect? No. Show me a perfect company and there will still be flaws with that perfect company. I just look at the good vs the bad and so far Knight has had more good then bad. Eventually i will move on from Knight down the road. That will be at my choosing though. Until then i will keep a positive attitude and keep rolling along. Last quarter i ran 36,578 miles. Not too bad considering most of it was the northeast and had to deal with all this #### snow and ice. Lucky for me the truck has never been down except for the A and B services.

 

Knight is not nearly as bad as portrayed on TTR. I did OK there as well.

 

1. Equipment is decent. Volvo's and Prostars all less then 5 years old traded out regularly. They trade out trailers on regular basis too but really should have more of them.

2. Starting pay once your done with being a squire(i see your a student) is 34 cpm.

3. Same pay

4. 7 on 2 off or 14 on 3 off. Also at some terminals can run express which means either 4 on/4 off or 7 on/7 off.

 

No it is not. Your truck will only idle if it is cold enough (under 32) or hot enough(over 70). Also if you idle too much you will not get your raise or bonus. If you idle way to much they may terminate you.
