While this is just my opinion, it is much better to be solo than to have a team driver with you at all times. Even the absolute best of friends or family members can have some very serious "fall outs".
As any experienced truck driver on this forum will tell you, there is a LOT OF STRESS driving safely and legally, while trying to meet deadlines.
For many drivers, not necessarily all of them, having a team driver can make the stress ten fold. It is really something to seriously think about.
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!
Team or solo

I'd go solo to get the experience under your belt, on your own.
These guys are all correct, you'll sleep a lot better at night (or day) after that hard shift on your own.
Good on you for making it through so far - hope you've learned al you need to be safe. -
What.....nothing positive? Yeah, lot of time that's the case. Worked for me, though I was definitely lucky as far as how compatible we were.
See my post #314 in thread "Application to Prime accepted. Start in January"
(Some reason I can't clip it on my tablet, and don't have time to write).
Big decision only you can make, but it can work. I had no intention whatsoever to drive w/anyone else, but it turned out a great experience (and $) for me. Have to really think it through, though. Most important to get everything completely agreed upon before setting out.
As far as compensation......If he's lease, you'll have to come to an agreement between yourselves. If company, you'll be equal partners.
Best to ya, whatever you decide.
