You have to work on your distance estimation. El Paso to Fontana, by my estimate, is only 750 miles or so.

    (I live in El Paso)

Where I'm at my carrier has no Qualcomm. When I get a broker load I have to call brokers directly to get my load information. If you have the "that's not my job" mentality, you won't last a day where I work at. My carrier does things the old school way.

And brokers won't call you at unoppropiate times for no reason. The only things they're concerned about on your behalf is when you pick up the load and start transit, and when you drop it off.

I worked at Werner (in the Safety department) and as a driver for a long time. If your dispatcher was talking to you like that (even just one time) you should have reported him to the fleet Supervisor.

Also, your dispatcher will have 0% input on what they report to your DAC. They will call you for an Exit interview (it may seem stupid but do it). They will ask you why you quit, make you an offer (usually about .01cpm more). Don't make up a story, you don't have to do it. Tell them the truth, the more truth they hear the more they will realize their system isn't working. When a company is that big and drivers are as unhappy as they are, you'd be surprised how far a little transparency will go.
