They run from Mississippi to the west coast pretty much I think.
-
I see them often. Saw that they had a few Cascadias now.

I worked for them for about six months. There was five of us came from Royal Freight in Pharr Texas with our safety director with the intent of reestablishing their border office in Pharr.
From the gitgo, nothing was as promised. We were promised $.40cpm, they gave us $.32cpm and threatened to fire us all when we complained. The trucks they had bought for the operation were not ready and when they became available, we were bobtailing all over the south to get dry vans.
The kicker was when tax time came around, instead of W-2's, we all received 1099's. I was able to file against Phenix with the IRS and won a determination that we were indeed employees, not independent contractors.
Wilkerson does run your ### off and will fire you if you can't keep up the pace. Being an old chicken hauler from way back, I volunteered to run some reefer loads and was told I was too old. Discrimination?
Phenix West was originally Phenix Transportation. Same company, different USDOT. They changed after a couple of us reported them to the FMCSA. Phenix West was originally the name of the Pharr operation operating under the Phenix Transportation USDOT number until the Feds came in on them. -
I used to see those guys on I-20 and 10 between DFW and So Cal frequently. Talked to one of them at the Beacon Truck Wash in Casa Grande Az once. They run non stop, this guy was solo. If you have the run like that then more power to ya.

As for MS.DOT. And all state law officers they are all in his back Pocket. He is still running as normal. And holding drivers paychecks. Even when they quit. Because he knows that nobody can touch him in this state. He owns all the City of Forest,Ms. And steadily buying large amounts of land all around. There .
I left. Oxnard , Ca. At 1:00am on a Wed and was told that load had to be in Forest,Ms. By Thursday afternoon by 3:00pm to make delivery time fri at 1:30am in pompano beach,Fl
Was told if I did not get it there on time I would be charged a late delivery fee of $1,780.00. And would be collected before I got my paycheck. I had to drive straight through from Oxnard,Ca. To Forest,Ms
Only stopping once to fuel that is all. No break no sleep. Nothing. Just driving
I run solo. I did make it on time. But now I'm taking time off. Due to stress from them. That run had my chest hurting from it And I'm still waiting for my paycheck
Called about it and Ricky said if and when I come back to work I can get my paycheck then . They are having to go e-logs by Oct of this year.
But they are going to bust the company up into three divisions
Phenix will be on e logs
SouthFork will have their own dot numbers so they will be on paper
And his son Richard will have his own numbers and his trucks will be on paper logs as well. So go figure .! -
