What a crazy couple of months it has been... so, for a quick recap... after 18 months with Werner I quit werner and got a local CDL A tow truck gig... only, it was very little driving the CDL A truck and mostly parking lot grabs and repos which came with a fair amount of confrontation from the owners of the cars we were grabbing... which, I was able to handle with talking and people skills.. although so e got pretty intense.. then, one day I go in and one of the otner tow truck drivers is there and he had a couple black eyes and a broken nose.. from a parking lot grab wnere the owner of the car and a couple of his friends got up on him while he was securing the car.. didnt say anything just ran up from behi d him and started punching and kicking him...

So... I put my two weeks in rign then and there which they understood and were very decent about...

So, I then decided to give parcel delivery a try and got on with a small company running a cargo van and then would move into a larger CDL A truck and route.... well... it didnt take long to realize this company was poorly managed and barely a float...

Now... this is when I started regretting quitting werner as I just bought a new motorcycle.. and a new F150 pickup truck.... and here I am at a micky mouse company...

Well... I went to a staffing placement place.. not a temporary agency... and filled out there app and all.. Kevin.. my placement specialist... that is nis title... asked me what my dream job would.be... which I said was a HazMat Tanker gig, ho e daily making $18 or more per hour... he asked what my nightmare job would be and I said hauling trash.... he said he would try to find me something closer to my dream job. And avoid trash hauling... so I left and figured he would find me something in the middle...

So, tnis morning he calls me and has an address for me to go talk to Rodger.. and says, I think you will like this.. so.. I get there and it is a tanker gig... I meet with Rodger, he has me sign in.. and then hands me a small bag that is a resporator, safety glasses and a visitors badge... he then shows me around the terminal and explains how tnings go... then puts me in a truck and tests me on shifting and backing... which, I nailed... then we walk around some more and he introduces me to several people.. all of which were super nice... he explains everything again and asks if I want the job.. which I do... and so he put h is hand on my shoulder and said Welcome aboard.. so tomorrow drug test and orientation.. then I start Monday...

So.. I got my dream job... HazMat Tanker.. home daily. And I Start at $18 an hour for my training.. about 2 weeks.. then go to $19 an hour for 6 months then $20 an hour... excellent benefits..

Company has a very low turnover rate... the guy who is training me is the one that is quitting the driving position and is moving to a position at the terminal cause he and his wife have twins on the way and he wants to be closer to home...

I am just so excited... and no longer regret quitting werner.. which, I almost was just going to go back to.. but decided to try the staffing place first...

Theres good money in repos... the company I worked for made its money off repos and parking lots.. then roadside.. but their biggest revenue was from repos and parking lots...

It depends where you are.. he had a few contacts with a couple buy here pay here places and some subprime banks...
Which made it easy... often they had a gps in the car and so finding it was a breeze... just had to work around the tricks people try.. like cranking the wheels, or parkiking in a way they think you cant get it...
