That has got to be the worst truck stop I've ever been to, Flying J and Love's combined.
All kinds of random hair on the walls in the showers, pushy and rude manager/employee, flies galore in the Subway attached to it, and a squashed rat on the way to the truck directly in front of the fuel lanes

My wife would drag the manager back to the shower and ask if it's clean enough for his family ?

Make sure you send a note to Loves corporate with the same images and personal notes about the staff and management.
Truck drivers should be understanding that any truck stop can be found in a state of dis-array at a given part of the day following a busy rush on all parts of the stop, weekends can be the worse, and high summer temps can bring out all sorts of bugs and vermin, anywhere you go.
That said, you can get a sense when a place is poorly managed and when this is discovered, you need to do your part and let corporate know. If they get more then a few similar notes in a short time span, they can feel sure they have a management problem and will send out a trouble-shooter. But you (we all do to be effective) have to speak out in a respectful manner with a well-written comment and leave out any "personal feelings" you may have about the chain, and deal in facts about a location.
Be sure to include time and day of visit in question and keep your note limited to a specific visit, not "bad experiences" in general, relating to multiple visits to multiple locations.Warrior Pump, tlalokay, Balakov100 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I sent Loves an e-mail about their Hinton, OK location. That place was a real hole. I did get a standard canned response, don't know if it did any good or not.

STexan you are right, sometimes you just get there at the wrong time. However mold takes a while. But can easily be controlled with some bleach and a brush. Management has a responsibility to at least look in each shower once a week,,,in my opinion. Lol

####, that must have been a dumb rat.

Not surprised to see this ,about 2 years ago I got a chicken sandwich from that subway and was sick for 2 days. The meat probably was expired or not kept at proper temperature. I almost thought I was going to have to go to the hospital couldn't eat anything until I recovered.
tlalokay Thanks this. -
Should have grilled up that rat. Probably would have tasted better than subway.
