TruckO, your correct pretty much. The appeal about being an O/O is the freedom of being your own boss.

Owner operators go out of business every day, they made ZERO profit. Did not understand they are running a business, with all the associated taxes, and bills.

Others are very successful, and make more than enough to keep them happy, but you will never get a truthful answer as to what they make. It is a very competitive market, and telling the wrong person about a lucrative run, could end that run for the successful O/O.

You have the opportunity to fail, or to be a mediocre company driver, or a failure at lease purchase, or a successful lease purchase (takes alot of fortitude), or be a success as an O/O. What defines success to you, I have no idea, but if you are ONLY looking at the money, you will never be happy.
