It is not in the news yet that I can find but our wrecker brought the car into the shop.
The irony is that on I15 near Boulder, Montana, an off duty DOT officer rear ended a semi trailer... Did a good job on the body work too. Maybe this is the new testing procedure for DOT bumpers.
Now this is ironic!

HOPEFULLY the truck driver does NOT get into any trouble at all.
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.! -
I bet he was texting or looking at the computer...nobody is immune from distracted driving.

Hmm, gonna have to do a stop and check on that Montana Trooper dummy on my next run up 93 to Kalispel and make sure he is still in one piece.
Saw an Idaho State trooper on top of his upside down (in the ditch) patrol car, hangin iron on those back tires up near Moyie springs on US 95 one night, still got the photo! -
That sounds like Georgia... Theyve left all the potholes in the road and the ones they fix are worse than the original pothole.
Guess they want to see what shakes loose.
That's funny though. Did the truck driver at least get to write the officer a ticket?
tucker Thanks this. -
Same thing happened last week on I-80 in Indiana. State Trooper slammed into the rear of a moving semi. Real bright of him.

How about some pix of the DOT cop car? If there is no news report on it, you KNOW it didn't really happen. . .

Hard to believe the media isn't all over this. The only thing they hate worse than truckers, are cops.

Driver: Officer, are you blind?
Trooper: I hit you didn't I?Vilhiem Thanks this. -
Except that may only apply when there is imagined or real racism involved...
Putting your life on the line for such a paultry and barely livable salary. They want officers to be hired and trained near where I leave out. "Great benefits! 38-45k salary"
