    Hello ,
My problems are Poor MPG , black smoke on hard acceleration and it look like is working in 5 cylinder in winter under load when the engine is cold.
I also have blue smoke on cold weather at idle (900Rpm) ,i think it came after my overhaul but I am not sure since iI only start to see the blue smoke six month later with the beginning of winter .
I have the EGT's a bit in the up side .
The Fuel pressure at idle ( 600rpm ) is 0 to 3 psi at the pump exit , at 2000 rpm is 60 Psi on parked truck and at 1400rpm is 35 Psi going uphill pedal to floor (under load) .
And another problem is that after going a long way downhill and then I accelerate to go uphill it will have low power for a 15-25 seconds period ,in this period the boost will not rise more than 18 -20 psi and then it will gradually go up to 28 Psi after 15-25 sec. (the turbocharger is new)
The fuel pressure will not change and remain as usual in this low power period.
Oil analysis is clear , no fuel in oil , no oil in fuel or antifreeze but.
I just bought 6 New injectors R5235915 DDEC3 last week from Interstate Mcbee and I will do the swap next week to see if something will change.
Ty for your time and help.

The blue smoke at idle, and the slow pickup after the down hill sounds similar to my issues that a 6 pack fixed. N14, but similar symptoms.

I'd let it go to the point number 5 was cutting out after getting out of the throttle and back into it. 4 and 6 were weak on a (driving) cylinder cut out test.

    Narcis.M Thanks this.

Sounds like injector problems, could also be cam timing. Could be both. Does it smoke on startup?

I have some white smoke at start for 1-2 seconds and the engine will shake and slightly miss at cold start even if 80F outside .
In the winter it far worse for the first 3-5 minutes is missing , shaking hard , working 2-4 cylinders only i think.

You've had this issue since last winter? Have you taken it in yet?

Thank you for your help , the CAC is checked , ok , inj. cutout show one inj. a bit weak , that's it , and today I went to the garage for the six pak injector swap and I had the brilliant ideea to check the new Interstate Mcbee injectors before opening the head cover and guess what , two of them had the mesh filter missing one side , I guess that the fuel goes into the injector that way and without that mesh non filtered particles can block the nozzles , .
I feel happy that I checked , also one of the ones with the missing mesh had the old original mesh on it and it was very dirty, probably around 85 % clogged (I try pushing air with my mouth) so two of them are bad .
I contacted Interstate Mcbee for this matter and I sent them 3 pictures . Ugly thing knowing how big Interstate Mcbee is and I also wonder how they passed the final quality control ??? since they where sealed ,.....scary stuff .
I also paid 80$ for 2 days UPS rush delivery , that goes as well flushed on toilet since now I have to wait 2 more weeks probably for this story to end.

If they're plugged with garbage you need to look closer at your fuel system.
