I guess your right, with all the millions of miles you have traveled as a truck driver, you have a handle on it all...or was it riding in the passenger seat of daddy's truck that makes you so knowledgeable...after all you're a 2nd generation driver(according to your user name)...you got to hear all the horror stories as a kid. And here I am, 1st generation trucker, having to live the life for myself. Glad I had the good sense to educate my kids well enough to persuade them to avoid this career...lord knows, we wouldn't want a 2nd generation snackbar out here. Think how much more annoying one would be if they got on here too.

And as for owning a truck, been there, done that...I was doing that when you were still crapping in your Pampers.

I will make you a deal...I will work for The Donald, you go work for Faux News or the Clinton Newz Network...you would make a good political analysts, shoot, you're almost as good as Wolf Blitzer or Bill O'Reilly

There it is, the old i have a million miles comeback and you have none. But it doesn't take millions of miles to have sense to know when something is not right as you claim that you do something about it instead of wishing and complaining. It's not my place to wish ill harm on a company going under or telling them how to run things because it's not my money or company but I guess that's the difference in the way we were raised.

I have done other stuff and worked in the corporate business world. I have a degree because my father put me thru school. I'm grateful I had a father who raised me to know the value of hard work and dedication and earning everything I have. Not letting things get in the way and blaming no one but myself for failure. So your right, if me being knowledgeable and riding in the passenger seat is the reason why I have a 800+ credit score, a house, car, education, and money in the bank as so I'm not living paycheck to paycheck then yes, I'll take that million miles comment any day of the week and twice on sundays;). At the end of the day, I knew what I was getting into with trucking and with Poly. They aren't perfect as we know but I deal with it instead if complaining and crying about stuff that won't change. I bust my hiney to make it work for me. I guess it's just me because I sit and hear about guys complaining and I was taught you don't complain about stuff you can't change and you take action on the things you can

It doesn't bother me one bit when I hear the rumor mill stories about guys that have quit. It means they had the balls and sense to pack up and move on and better their situation. They took responsibility for their own actions and situation and moved on. I applaud them and wish them well.

I'm not the one looking for another job as I'm content with the one I have at the moment, so I'll pass on the faux news gig.

Typical newbie - "experience means nothing to me". There are two ways to stop hearing people like us complain. 1) Log off, don't come back. Part of the purpose of this forum is to post issues and concerns people are having with a certain place so that others who are doing research or were simply curious about a company can find out if it's a good fit for what they may be looking for.

    2) Use this button:

I have been lurking on this forum for many years. I followed Snack when he was over at Crete. I have to say one thing about his posts, it isn't hard to figure out what he is thinking, because he tells it like he see's it. Yea, sometimes he may be venting or ranting a bit, we all do that in our own way. Although, I must say, I miss his old sense of humor from way back on the old Crete thread. Although that seemed to stir up more people who failed to see the humor at first.

That's not the point , Poly is not a bad situation.
It's a good situation in decline some might say , my impression is management is obsessed with liability and not too concerned with the trucking end of things .They are far too comfortable as I read the situation.
I went for well over a year without a single verbal confrontation , now I'm getting my head bitten off on occasion by an annoying dispatcher.

    People listen to me .,..
Let's make Poly Great Again :bounce:

I've been on Elogs in the past .
E Logs are the great equalizer , everyone from the top down has to answer to them and read from the same page so to speak . The companies shortcomings will have to be addressed.
    E logs expose a company's weaknesses in
    a big way .

At the last job once e logs were turned on everything began to become efficient and streamlined , maintenance , shipping ,( we had our own whse.) scheduling , no more phone calls from DSP ,etc .
Everything was transmitted on the Qual comm and they could view your log screen as well , it was
100% transparent , totally silent running as it were.
People shouldn't have to quit a high paying job like Poly , and certainly not have to tolerate abuse from
employees they must work with .

My main idea behind e logs is that it would force
the issues haunting Poly to be resolved and also force dispatchers to clam up and stay off my cloud . I myself run perfectly legal regardless of the system I'm on. I have zero tolerance for unruly dispatchers and do support demoting them to the shipping dept.

And too boot I would no longer need to vent at the forum.

"Give me what I want , and I'll go away " said the devil .
