what speed ya running? i've been running 65. I do think my truck is starving for air. My intake side is full of buildup when i get home im clean it or when i get some down time at a truck stop. Just hope there isnt a gasket behind my intake that mounts onto the block lol. I plan on buying tires for drives at the end of month which will give me better mpg too

Its a metal gasket and I've taken the intake off before and reused it.

 

I won't speak for all, but personally I feel u can't go wrong at Mercer. I'm sure some might disagree.

Yea around that area I'm getting build up on the outside of it lol.

 

If its soot could be the gasket is already defective. Can't see it being more than 15 ~20$ for a new one .
