I feel the personal touch has left the company,
The driver managers have GOD complexes and have no problem pushing you around. Sorry to see all the good people leave the company.
they are off loading the used beat up trucks to lease operators, be careful on that note.
I am done being lied to, done with two faced driver managers, cant communicate worth beans, Load to load should be drop and hook go, not so, some times as much as 3 days wait then you get a driver manager pushing you to go go go. we are lease operators soon to be was trying to get a loan to pay off truck and gonna go free agent, no more chains bind me from god like driver managers working for puppy mill companies who lie and cheat to gain profit.
Treat your drivers better have respect and understand you get to go home after work, we sleep while at work we eat while at work ,we worry and pay bills while at work, we miss the school stuff with our kids, we don't get a normal life, like you do, driver managers. if we tell you we have to go home, listen please...............Thank you
FFE used to be a good company KLLM ruined it.

That's pretty much what happens with buyouts unfortunately. I went through that with a previous outfit I drove for that got bought out.
-
Havent really heard anything too bad about KLLM....
-
Never heard anything good about FFE, even before KLLM bought 'em.

I like your style. Well written, and every darn bit of it made sense. As a new poster, brother, you are a breath of fresh air.
Absolutely no doubt in my mind you will get away from this company, and find a much better future for you and yours.
Do yourself a favor; and look for a company with no more than 30 or 40 trucks. Your "benefits" are obviously gonna cost more...but they will treat you far, far, far better than any of the mid to mega's.
You sound like you deserve it. And good luck.sunflower01 and pattyj Thank this. -
If kllm bought ffe then why do I see ffe trucks and trls running all over the country...new equipment too..
-
They've managed to stay under the radar for the most part around here.
-
Kllm bought the truckload part of it, FFE kept the ltl part of it.
-
They took over controlling interest like ffe did with mtc, lisa, american eagle etc

Two Mississippi businessmen have agreed to purchase Frozen Food Express Industries for $38.2 million, which could lead to the creation of the third-largest refrigerated carrier in North America.
Duff Brothers Capital Corp.’s offer of $2.10 a share was unanimously approved by Frozen Food Express’ board of directors, including three key executives, FFE announced July 15.
Run by brothers Thomas and James Duff, the company already owns KLLM Transport Services.
