What's the problem, Wal Mart, The Red Rooster, or both?? -

Prime wanted me to pay $3800 in payments of $80 a WEEK for flatbed equipment if I wanted to go flatbed side. There is something that rubbed me really wrong about that. Probably it being illegal part. Some of these places just don't understand that being in charge doesn't mean they can just make up rules. There are laws for a reason.

What laws...just curious
-
Securement equipment is DOT regulated safety equipment and therefore the responsibility of the employer. Forcing employees to pay is not only illegal, but it doesn't even make sense. Nobody works to pay their employers expenses out of their own pockets. -
Worked in coal mines for years and every miner was required to buy his own miners cap, miners light and several other safety related items..that wasnt against the law

Besides actually reading the handbooks for a few employment agencies, like the EEOC manual, I've also seen several employers lose cases over it. They take it very seriously. -

One of my trainers had been flatbed for Prime and said the same thing. They had him making payments on company equipment.
Besides that, I found it really suspicious that they said they stopped hiring company flatbed drivers only AFTER I said thats what I wanted. Because the next words were "But we still lease flatbeds!"
Im not saying they are a bad company, I just know thats what turned me off about them. Maybe they are a good company, I dont know. But thats what I was told. It just gives me cold feet.
