Sounds like he is more peed off about being offered a load going 240 miles back to where he came from for 1.66...

I've gotten 150, I've gotten 800, and I've gotten petty much every number in between. It's always a case by case basis. In my experience, when it's 150 it's cause the agent knows the customer isn't going to pay a dime, so they reach into their own pocket to help ease the sting it causes us.

Adam at the Baltimore office gave me an extra 450 out of his pocket when he messed up on a load. He got me a load going home right before Christmas, after loading, and getting my bol I figured out it was going to a town with the same name way up in the pan handle almost to Pensacola 500 miles from my house. we worked together to keep the customer happy, and he kept me from having to eat five hundred miles. It's a three way team effort, us the truck owners, the agents, and Louisville. The more the three of us work together when problems happen, the better we all benefit.

if you got em on national account to get the mercer discount, its not loves. its the national account from whatever brand tire ya got. takes sometimes 3 to 4 weeks sometimes more, best way to figure is the price they quoted you , add 30 for mounted 20 for balance, take away any credit for the casing and figure tax. my last one was 365 for bridgestone r 283, after the mount balance and deduct for casing credit, total price was 360.

just call the impact dept at mercer, they can tell ya the price of the tires you want, along with states that charge no tax. I my self went with bridgestone m710 drives, 99 rolling resistance, 390 plus mounting thru mercer national account

I pretty much keep my wife out of the loop on this stuff. She worries unnecessarily about the gs way too much so I have found it easier on both of us just to not give her too much information. As long as I send money to the house each week she is happy. Happy wife......happy life.
