Some styles of the dryers have a small circular window in the top of them. If during the brief time the unit runs, before it shuts down, if you don't see any fluid moving then you do not have a sufficient charge in it. That will trigger that sensor to shut the system down.

I have a Thermo King unit that is blowing hot air and doesn't give any codes or shut off it just blows not cold air is this a Freon issue? if you could help me I would greatly appreciate it.
-
Do you hear the compressor kick on? When you turn it on and select A/C the unit will crank up, then in several seconds you should hear the compressor kick on. If indeed the compressor kicks on then your freon has leaked out.
-
If the Freon has leaked out, the low pressure switch will shut the unit down and give you a fault code, and on trying to restart, will go through the cycle 3 times, and then shut down again.

Just my little two cents from experience with my unit, unless there are different Tripac units. A while back one of the line coming from the evaporator to the condenser on the back on sleeper rubbed a hole against the edge of the frame and all freon leaked out. When I turn it on, even with A/C selected, the unit runs till I turn it off but the compressor wouldn't kick on. I spliced the hose, vacuum and charged it with freon and all good now. The point I'm trying make is if you have a 2008 Tripac like mine, it won't shut off only the compressor will not come on, the unit will run forever but no cooling.

What pressure is it supposed to be at when fully charged/running?
I want to put my a/c manifold on and check mine. Sounds like mine is low on f
refrigerant and dont want to put too much in. -
Question for everyone:
I have a Thermoking Tri-Pac (older gen) that runs fine when on heat and fan. But when A/C is set it turns right off with the ACS code. The condenser was replaced 2 months ago along with all the lines as well as the dryer. The APU turns on, the condenser fan turns on, I never hear the A/C clutch engage and literally right after the condenser fan turns on and runs at full speed the APU turns off with ACS code.
My questions are this:
If it’s too low on Freon because of another leak, how do I add Freon when the system doesn’t stay running with A/C selected?
Also, why isn’t my compressor starting? The belt is driving it without a problem but I never hear the A/C clutch engage. I checked all fuses and all of them are good.
APU runs normal in every other mode and stays running without a problem, it’s just the A/C function that doesn’t work. It won’t stay running for even 3 seconds after the condenser fan starts. I forced Power to the condenser fan and it stayed running without any motor issues so I can rule that out.
My guess right now is low Freon, but I’m not sure how I can fill it if the compressor never kicks on.
Maybe a bad compressor? I’m just not sure anymore.
Any assistance is much appreciated!
