You had truck and APU serviced? If so I would be a bit mad.

Here I go again..... Probably been asked before............But.... Is there any advantage to pulling a 53' vice 48' flat?
And another question, if sliding tarp system adds 2" of width on each side that makes a 102" wide trailer 106" wide.... what if any problems have people had with LEOs over trailer width ?

Couple people here pull with tarp system. I have yet to see a load requires 53 ft

53' flat cost more. We do get a few loads that require them and the normally pay a few cents more. But not enough for the extra cost for me to justify having one. Steps are a different story and I don't have an answer there.

You got me curious with the fast track now. Was thinking about getting my trailer done while I was trading my truck in and they had the special running.

We do have loads that require 53', but I'd say 99.99999% are ok on 48'. Can't answer the tarp system question

The regulations allow a few inches extra width for fasteners, tarps and the like. Off the top of my head it was two extra inches on a side (102" trailer therefore can be 106") but I don't have the reg in front of me.

    CJndaTruck and KSGunny Thank this.

I wouldn't get a 53 unless you lived where a agent/shipper constantly has freight for it. But in general freight I'd say no. As fat as the tarp well I see them here and I assume it's a lot of steel they haul so it's up to you if you like running those areas
