Keep your head. Book your loads. Train your coordinator. Run your business.

Ok, so I now have to say this. If you want to make money here you have to do everything on yourself. If you don't and try and depend on your coordinator then you best expect to be average. I didn't come here to be average.

I'm confused. You booked a load and the coordinator took you off???? Who's truck is it??? My coordinator would never take me off a load I book because she first and foremost know it's my truck. Second this isn't forced dispatch. The only thing she's done twice was call me and said "you sure you wanna go to that area" and I told her "yup I got this, and that it's a method to my madness" she laughed and said "you're way ahead of a lot of other guys on her board that's been here for awhile" my credit is to the guys on TTR. But no way would she book me on a load or take me off without speaking to me.

Yeah, my coordinator wouldn't either. I sat down with him and we had a conversation in the beginning about what I was looking for. He may call me about a load, and he usually refuses the crap loads for me, but on the occassion or two we disagreed about whether a load was worth it or not, it was usually me calling to see what he thought before I accepted it because I was unsure. He has talked me out of a couple and talked me into a couple, but he wouldn't EVER take me off a load without calling first. Right now, I'm booked out almost 3 weeks, but that's because I'm taking next week off. I usually won't book much beyond a week out in case something happens, we all know it usually does.

Duddle, I bet ya a steak dinner that if you clearly communicate to your coordinator your expectations and limitations of what you want him doing for you, that you will see this problem never occur again. you need to freshen up your communication skills and explain to him firmly, but politely, that final decision on loads rest on the shoulders of the truck owner, not the truck coordinator.

So Mercer will let you run a headboard on the trailer instead of a Headache rack on truck? I think the recruiter told me no, back when I talked to them.

Not the prettiest but thanks @spyder7723 for the idea. Only thing I had to do was bungee. This is the second place I've been to that spread your tarps out for you over the load
