Yes and I saw several come and go with those systems. All had smaller loads and this is my shortcoming on those systems. Everyone that had them pushed the system to the rear and got loaded but the last 10' of the trailer was unusable. My load used the whole trailer. Can you push the whole system forward to load the rear of the trailer? If so that would have been perfect for this load.

Those "A Frames" are removable if they are in the way for loading or unloading.

Perfect, thanks a ton. I think that's my next investment. I really want to get one now but $12.5k on top of a new truck is not too wise. Think I'll give it a few months to replenish all the accounts first.

Obviously they will. I have one. Several others around too. People will tell you not to that it will cost you loads, in 2 years I have never missed out on a load because of it. Yes there are loads that say no headboards. Everytime I wanted one that said that a simple phone call got it done for me. You do have to watch the ATV loads though. They have the length in them so just pick one that fits your deck and you are good.

Overall around 6.8. I don't have an apu on it yet and that is affecting the mileage some. Overall very pleased with fuel mileage and performance.

The policy is one or the other. Like everything here at Mercer, unless it's law, Mercer leaves the decision with the truck owner

If you're hauling 50ft beams, do you only need flags on the overhang or do you have to have oversize signs and lights?

And the law no longer requires either but it is a wise safety policy here to have one or the other.I commend them for that policy. Besides it's great storage.

Just flags can't hang over the rear more than 4' I believe on a 48

Basically yes. When any motor carrier leases a truck it is legally under their control and they are responsible for whatever that truck does. M&M (right down the road from where I am in PA) may have allowed him to trip lease for those loads, or may have looked the other way, assuming they even knew about it. I know it may be hard to believe but there are more than a few trucking companies that don't get concerned with the legalities of their operations (but will real quick hang the driver out to dry when the #### hits the fan).
