    can anyone tell me of any weight stations in chicago? I don't care if its a moving company that charges money to get weight or repair facility. Just looking for nearest station to Elk Grove Village

    Citgo off of Cicero, by i55. Head north if ur coming off i55. Not sure if they allow another carriers....but schneider, jb hunt, and other containers guys go there to scale before heading out chicago.

    Citgo plant, not the gas station

    In the future, it is a good idea to add which way the load is headed.

    Sometimes the nearest scale is in the opposite direction, but the second nearest may only be 5 or ten miles more in the direction of your delivery. If the load is legal then you are a bit farther down the road.

    There is a scale at the BP(used to be Citgo I think) on corner of Pershing and Morgan, just north of the Chicago stockyards. The scale is to the north of the building, which also houses a trailer washout. Right in the city.

    Nelson Westerberg (North American Van Line) on Arthur Ave and Lively Blvd. (Entrance is off Arthur Ave, not sure the cost) Greco construction has a public scale on their yard on Wolf Rd between Touhy and Oakton in Des Plaines.
