Well, I'm fortunate enough to be retired and spending most of my time at home. So the vast majority of my online time is either on my PC or on WiFi. Prefer the PC, but my arms aren't long enough to reach it from my favorite recliner. . .;)

Has anyone tried sprint with a spark phone on coverage within the past year? Cuz they've added thousands of new cells..

Would like to hear from people that habe used the service within the past year. Not your experience within the previous 25 years.

Without towers "thousands of new cells" wont do a thing.

They've got the towers. Been planted for years. FCC granted permission last year to use them. Part of their expansion plans to have a bigger footprint over verizon.

as much as you all like to argue. sprint isn't the same company it once was. new ownership, new ceo, new cell sites, new technology. unless any of us have had service within the past year. NONE of us can say how they are anymore.

i still have my note2 though. and it has better coverage now then when i first got it 2 years ago. the new cells, however, are SUPPOSEDLY only going to be spark capable. according to the store clerk. and my note2 isin't spark capable.

OK, I'll show my ignorance here. What is "spark capable?"

That is Sprint's version of LTE, or XLTE if you have Verizon.

Don't feel bad, I use to wonder how anyone could use over 40 or 50, until...I got a blueray player with WiFi,a Netflix account and my Foxfi app. Now if I keep it under 100-150gig, I count myself lucky. Well, that was until I broke my 4g phone and found out that Verizon quietly cancelled my insurance after the last claim.

your not ignorant, i never heard of spark till a couple of months ago. i've been keeping up with sprints news on restructuring as i want to ditch verizon. i haven't seen anything of spark mentioned. it was disclosed when i was shopping 2 months back.

i started off with 2 gigs when i came back on the road. a few months later it wasn't enough, bumped to 4, then 6, then 8, then 10. as long as verizon keeps adding for the same price. i'll take the extra added. but it only lasts a few months then i start running out.

i'm doing NOTHING more today that i wasn't doing when i came back out. and yet, i need more. and what really gets me. when iget the 75% used up alert. the remaining 25% somehow is all used up within 24 hours.

    Big Don Thanks this.
