negative repercussions on CDL for changing states?

Hi everyone, I feel like this might be a silly question, but wanted to avoid shooting myself in the foot.

I've held a Washington state CDL for 3 years, and a Wisconsin CDL before that. There is a family emergency of sorts back in Wisconsin that I should really be around for more than the 2 days a month with OTR. I would like to go back there an get a local trucking job, but was unsure if there were any negative repercussions associated with changing your CDL (outside of cost of course). I have done a bit of research, but couldn't see any problems on the face of it.

I wanted to see if anyone has had any bad experiences with this, like employers having issue with it. I'm sure it would be no problem if I was going back to Wisconsin for good, but I might only be there a year, and then return to Washington and have to change my CDL again. I would really like to avoid having to work at a warehouse or something non trucking while in Wisconsin, but also want to avoid shooting myself in the foot inadvertently.

This could possibly raise a question with a new employer. Such as, why have you moved back and forth this often. Just be honest. But at the same time, drivers have been known to 'sugarcoat' some things on their app to explain away stuff.

I'd tell it likes it is...family is important. If I were an HR person and you applied, moving like that for family wouldn't be an issue as long as the rest of your driving history was good.

Thank you for the input everyone. I think you're right, as long as HR isn't staffed by robots they should understand. There is usually a comments section on applications as well to explain a situation like that.

I don't see why you need to explain the reason for moving. It's not like you hopped 12 states in a 3 month time frame. People move to one state then move back all the time.
