Does the fan that recirculates the air in the trailer require the engine to be on? If not I might have a way for the engine to come on once or twice an hour for about five minutes during the dead of summer (less at other times of the year).

I drive for Schneider, but I have been an inventor for my entire lifetime. In October 2008 I invented a way to increase the capacity of air conditioning by over 800%. We tested it on an '87 Chevy pickup and the A/C temperature was down to 28 degrees below zero F at 60 mph (there have been over fifty tests completed).

Anyway let me know the answer to the first question.

Yes the blower fan is belt driven so the motor has to be running

Well you might want to check with your company first if your fridge packs it in and the load starts to melt you'll have a lot explaining to do however if you can prove to them that it may save lots of fuel and $ i'm sure they'll be over joyed.

Reefer units already do this. It is called "Cycle Sentry".

Cycle Sentry saves fuel, sure. It just a turns off the engine when the compressor is off. I'm talking about when the compressor is needed it wouldn't need to stay on very long.

Let's say you go to the beach and when you get back to the car it is like 200 degrees inside. How long would it take the AC with air coming out of the vents at 65 degrees to cool down the car ?

How about 15 degrees? Or even minus 25 degrees once you get the car moving?

My invention turns an AC system into a freezer. Once the temperature is comfortable, adjust the temperature control and save fuel since the compressor rarely comes on.

No, I'm not a billionaire. It is tough getting your product to market no matter how good it is.
