I am looking at 2003 and prior T600's, and would appreciate someone explaining the various suspension systems.... most ads on TruckPaper seem to list AG200 or AG400.... some say airleaf and I believe there is something in between.... like 380(?)... I haul light weight furniture, store fixture, or trade show loads around 15,000.... 30,000 would be a very heavy load for me.
AG200 is junk. The verticle pins on the wishbones wear out fast. AG400 is better. They use the same center hanger but they've replaced the verticle pins with "waffer bars" as I call them. They last much longer.
It's not a hard swap to do, just costly. If you're dead set on a truck with the AG200, run it until its worn out and then update.
The old 8bag was the 200, the 380 is the same as pete flex air, and the 400 is the new 8 bag. The 400L is the same as pete low air leaf.
The original 8 bag was the 100. Still better than the 200. It used round sway bars and a different style of center hanger. Think they discontinued the 100 in the late 90's/early 00's.
Honestly I didn't even know the 100 existed until I bought a rear clip with that suspension on it for my old truck. Did some research on it. They had a few downsides but were still better overall than the 200's.
