Ridiculous rates

Big carriers and the oil fields going bust, and even a lot of legal immigrants. Even regular good ole boy Americans that are running it cheap just to keep the wheels turning and make the payments. We can even throw brokers in there also because they are also undercutting each other to try satisfy the shipper. It will continue to go down as long as it's getting moved. When the shipments quit shipping the prices will go up.
Before I run for $1 a mile I will park my trucks. Because I am going in the hole. If I am going to deadhead back to better freight then the head haul has to be enough to cover that dead head. And I did deadhead about 500 miles last week. And will probably do it again next week.

 

Since I made a wrong assumption I want to offer sincerest apologies. You know what they say about assumptions and I was wrong.

I'm the same and that sounds like a typical week for me anymore. But that wears kind of thin as the months tick by.

Lost another account today to CH Robinson, after lowering proces 4 times this year. Couldn't lower them anymore. CH Robinson soon could. Soon as most guys are out of the industry I can't wait to take over accounts and take everything I can, including a bread from a broker's kids plate. So mad right now. Who the #### is hauling all this #### for so cheap!?

 

i was just offered a load at $0.97 all in on over 2000 miles going into of all places-- Florida

 

To top it off a CH Robinson #### face calls me offer me the load I had an account with for .60 cpm cheaper. I really wish I could strangle this kid. He even laughed at my rate as if he had this account forever.
