Thought I would try to spark this forum a little. I know as barr Nunn drivers our schedules seem even more unpredictable than other drivers.

If you have time, tell us where you're headed? Or if how's the weather, traffic, shipper, receiver. Basically... What's up?

509 miles and was almost 2 hours early. I learned this though... I'm a idiot for using 695 in DC at 20:00... Should have gone through on 95. Less annoying curves.

Now need to sleep and head into Charlotte terminal tomorrow so they can slap in a new fuel filter.

Never got that fuel filter. Ha! Had to pick up a load J crew in forest, VA (124 mt) and take it to Jeffersonville, oh (386 ld). After I eat (just had an amazing shower) then I'm off to a shop to get a fuel filter out in. (Fuel is 3/4 to the top while resting and running) also... Even if I had a fuel filter on me, I've never changed one. I know the concept but never have tried it. I know. I'm a horrible driver.

In other news.... Just received word (from barr Nunn's president that we lost the FedEx freight account after 13 years of service. From what he told us (other drivers) it was due to FedEx lobbying Congress to legalize 33 ft doubles on interstates. A move that Barr Nunn doesn't deem safe.

That worries me a little. FedEx waa the majority of my home time freight. We still have a huge presence at Amazon and ups. I haven't had a drop off in freight, 3,008 two weeks ago and 2,700 past week and on pace for 2,500+ this week. (Pretty much normal).

We'll see after December 3rd when we officially stop hauling their freight.

    Stay safe everyone! ;)

Find an amazing "secret" while I was in Columbus, OH. Not sure if I should share.... Oh I will, you know I was just kidding!

It's a "terminal" of sorts. A place where you can go (for barr Nunn only) to get some laundry done, watch some TV, and take a shower, and it's open 24/7. I won't give out the address here but ask your team leader for the shop we use in Columbus. (No loaded trailers)

So from Columbus picked up a load and came to good olé Hodgkins, IL UPS. Bob tailed to the oasis up the street. Very nice oasis, alot of restaurants, good bathrooms, and free WiFi.

Hopefully I can get a load out of here going south for the weekend. Home time is coming fast and would like to be headed there over the weekend.

Sitting to check in at the Amazon in Joliet... 1 hour and going... Nice run though, one of the longest I've had with this company. 1,200 miles, and it delivers Sunday! 3,000 miles for the week.

Young Gun, Sorry it seems nobody wants to participate here. But I did read it all, don't feel bad about not wanting to change your fuel filter on your own.

Hehe no worries ;) I started this to maybe erase the negativity on this forum. And maybe answer some questions while I'm at it.

So that Joliet load didn't happen. :( waited 8 hours and the load canceled (amazon). Then on saterday had a load from Joliet to kenosha, wi. That was a fun snow storm to go through, but not that bad. Just drive slow and don't be an idiot.

Took 7 hours to deliver into kenosha. The line of trucks was backed up so far the police had to be called. I have a picture that's shows the cops telling amazon to accept these trucks or else.

(Amazon said they didn't have room on the yard for all of us... After the police came they magically had space.)

Finally dropped and went to North Chicago TA. Going to speak with my supervisor to see how much detention pay I'll get. Should receive 150$ from just the load canceling to tampa.

Anyway, have. A load to Lexington,KY hope it doesn't cancel! ;)

    It's "ok".

It has its ups and downs like any company. The staff is friendly (for the most part), and work with you as much as possible. They try to keep you busy but sometimes they just don't have enough freight for the area you may be in.

It's not uncommon for you to dead head 400+ miles for a load thst goes 100. Especially if it's amazon. The equipment is well maintained. We're getting new trucks now (read my other posts for more info on that).

I've gone into great detail on everything else. Check out my year and a half review, and my other posts.
