From my understanding, she has been with SNI for a couple years as a DBL. Portland has gotten a couple brand new DBL's over the last couple months. Not much experience.

290 miles today. P/U relay here at the OC and headed 147 miles to Federal Way WA for a D/H. No MT in the area, so I BT back to the OC.

New pre assignment for tomorrow is D/H 22 miles to Canby OR. P/U appoinment is between 06:00-10:00. Load is a live load 167 miles in Fife WA. Delivery appoinment is before 15:00 tomorrow.

364 miles today. After my live load in Fife, I went to Sumner for a D/H that I will relay in Portland.

This AM, I get a message from my DBL that says"call me about your over speed yesterday". What? Speed limit in WA is 60 MPH and I ran 60MPH. A couple hills I got near 62MPH, but that was it.

So I go in to see her. She says my over speed was at 1.6% yesterday and for the month is 1.4%. OK. She says Portland OC wants over speed at less than 1%. Company policy is less than 5% and you are OK WTF. My over speed has never been more than 4%. This is news to me. I told her that it would have been nice to be notified first that over speed was 1% instead of a "I gotcha" message.

She also said that over speed is at 60. I told her that I was told when I first started it was 61. I was wrong. She said don't go over 58 or 59MPH. Now you can't even do the speed limit. Houston, we may have a problem.

How about those retro fits. Horn blows if you don't set your brakes before you open your door and cruise goes off when you turn your windshield wipers on.

    Grijon and Apd Thank this.

New pre assignment is to P/U relay at the OC and head North 201 miles to Everett WA for a D/H. Then BT back 201 miles to Portland.

SMDH. They set over speed at 60 mph? That just seems freaking insane.

You were told you are not allowed to go over 59mph? Most of these new trucks are set at like 62-64. Those team trucks go 65+

####, what the OC wants. You are well within company parameters. And utilizing what the truck is set at. OC manager can go suck a lemon. 57-58 is nothing more than more money their pocket. WE dont see jack of that.

For the unpaid miles we have to drive anyway, they will route OOR and ADD even more miles to avoid a toll. Screw that.

I'd ask if you are still Captain of the ship.

I'd run at 62 every chance you can and get that over speed up.

I mean 1.6% dang SNI is a tight bunch of crooks.

They want lower over speed so they get nicer bonuses.

Glad I'm not in your shoes. Or truck....

I was out of the Portland OC for 3.5 years up until March of this year. I never once had an overspeed of less then 1%. Must be new as I was never questioned about it. Some days I went #### near the whole day floored at 64-65. Made most bonuses even though I didn't try for any of them.

At least running Oregon and Washington your not stuck at 60 mph on the cruise with a 75-80 mph speed limit.
