Curious, do have a cdl in hand right now?

As for advice on the endorsements. This site has practice tests that are very helpful. Take em as often as you want. Each time is different. There are other sites with the same . Just pay close attention to the incorrect snswers and find and reread those sections on the manual again.

Yes. I got my CDL Class A in April 2014.
I'll be doing the tests on here as well as the one on Crist CDL (http://www.cristcdl.com/otc/) so I should be good to go. My cousin, a CDL driver for Mclean Foods, said that I should have them pay for the TWIC card instead of me shelling out the money and having them pay me back. Thought it was sound advice.

From what I've been researching, tanker/hazmat is the way to go for the big bucks down the road. Keep a clean record for 2 years and I should be able to make some good money!

Well, yesterday was a waste, today is shot, and tomorrow is going to be another waste. I picked up a load yesterday in Rancho Cucamonga. Stayed overnight in Fontana. Left this morning and delivered the load at 1300 in Tracy CA (roughly 370 miles). Didn't get a preassignment until the last minute. I had to go 15 miles to French Camp to pickup an empty, bobtail 5 miles to Lathrop CA for a live load, then go back 5 miles to French Camp to drop it.... Supposed to be a 1.5 hour live load, it's now been 3.75 hours and they havnt touched me. 1:12 left on my 14, so I'll be leaving soon if they don't get to me quick.

Next preassignment I get to deadhead 185 miles to Reno NV to pickup a loaded trailer at 0400 on the 22nd. Then I get to take it 240 miles and drop it in Newark CA.

Total of 390 miles today and will be #### close to a 14 hour day. Tomorrow I'll have a total of 185.....

Should get shorthaul and detention. With 45 minutes left in my 14 I went and checked in to see what was taking so long and I'm gonna have to leave if they don't get it loaded in 20 minutes. Supposedly they had just started loading me and it was gonna be at least an hour. They allow overnight parking here so I was just gonna stay here. I now have 30 minutes left on my 14, been in my truck for the last 10 minutes and still havnt felt anyone go in my trailer. Now I'm pissed off.

Been there many times... always a mystery if they started or done. I remember picking up a trailer from a dock, they said they only got 4 pallets left. Well after 2 hours I pull out and they came out staying they still got 4 pallets left....they were waiting on products. ..hated it.

You got an appointment time, you made it, but the shipper or cosignee isnt...

How the hell does schneider figure these average unload/load times.

At this point I'm hoping it takes another 4 hours. I'll take the detention. Theoretically I can then edit my off duty time to sleeper, split my logs, and head 5 miles over to the OC.
