Man those are fantasy land numbers. You know the real world doesn't work that way.

    Oh I know.

Numbers reflecting real circumstances cost extra. You want those?

    Pony up! :D

Edit: mathematecizing is a real word. I should know. I just made it up.

Not gonna happen this day in age. Back in the good ol days it was possible. Who's gonna finance a truck to anyone with no experience? What company is gonna lease on an IC with no experience? These days the only way in is as a company driver. Doesn't have to be with SNI or any mega carrier or small operation. Of you ever work for a company driving their truck otr or local, then your a company driver.

And to think I loved math in high school. Yea that's a whole lot of money. If only sni loved us that much. I would retire with them if I could make close to 2k a week
You started a good discussion there. You should make a thread that experienced company drivers/ics can talk about how nice it would be if sni cared for us like that lol.

Quite frankly if I'm working harder than a company guy than I'm doing something wrong.

My goal is to pick freight that pays me well enough to work LESS.

LOL... I'll say this though, weeks that I've come close to 70 hrs netted a lot more than $1820. Doesn't happen very often though.

I think what's being implied is that someone who started off as an o/o would qualify as an IC starting off.

It's pretty rare that anyone would fall under that qualification, much less give up their own truck...

You guys work harder in different ways than company drivers do.

What you make extra in pay is what normally would go to paying for a dispatcher, mechanic, fuel and otherwise for company drivers.

I worked here at SNI as a company driver before becoming an IC....

Not sure I worked harder then, but I definitely make more money now...

    Roll on...
