If you are dedicated, and get sent a systems load.....or you are systems, and get a dedicated load, the info will be lost, and you will have to call to get it. The info shows it went through on your DBL's screen, but for some reason, when loads get transferred between business types, all the load info disappears.

 

I don't think he originally asked that question to you. However, I would question why someone would carry on a relationship with a company when all they have are bad things to say about them. My guess would be, they are the type of person to complain about anything, but they actually have it pretty good, but if they aren't complaining, they aren't happy.

There are plenty of things I don't agree with SNI on, I deal with it every single day.....but at the end of the day, they are my employer, they set the rules, so yes, it is SNI's way or the highway. Who am I, or anyone else for that matter, to tell SNI how they should run their company? Yes, I understand the relationship an IC has with SNI is different than that of a company driver, however, SNI still has rules you have to follow, after all, you run under their authority.

 

Have a little nostalgia with me...my dad drove a class b truck for years.

Used to be a real sickly kid (thankfully I outgrew it.) and he'd let me ride in the passenger seat on the nights I felt like absolute #### and couldn't sleep...

...I would fall asleep to that roar. Love the smell of diesel exhaust.

Problem is is just not Sni...its industry wide with the attitude of just leaving it for the next person...

 

I also put part of the blame on SNI. Not all...but part...until recently I was under the impression if you wrote up defects on your DVIR then it went to SEM but I was told you have to take the extra step of either calling it in (which can take forever) or send a separate macro over the MCP.

Now I'm not making excuses...its just tedious....and some drivers may still be under the impression that writing it up will fix the problem.

Still dosent excuse the trailer I picked up last month with no defects that needed 4 trailer tires replaced.

 

Well besides working 70 hrs..we as ICS also have paperwork to handle and we also have to do our own load planning and such so we are working more so to speak...
