Yes, the only status that cannot be changed is drive time. This is still true.

I wouldn't even bother to go on duty.

    Legally you're supposed to.

    ...but I didn't see anything illegal. ;)

We've spent 30 pages trying to figure out how to get around drive time and now you're going to pull out the "legal" card?

    Sheesh

    A fickle bunch...:biggrin_25522:

Like I said, I never say anything illegal going on. Must've gotten his oil changed by some nice passerby while being loaded.

There are some nice folks in the world's still.:biggrin_25525:

Wouldn't you need to otherwise it would record the time as straight Drive time which is uneditable.

Not with the parameters set on the QC. I can move the truck while off duty the same distance as if I'm on duty.

    Vilhiem and scottied67 Thank this.

Now here's what's funny. I can in today to the hazmat line since I was dumb enough to pull a hazmat load and start talking to the guy about how this new update is really messing me up for getting home in time for thanksgiving dinner. Well he proceeds to tell me he's also the guy that deals with the logs as well and yes there have been a lot of issues since the new update and there isn't much they can do. His suggestion was to take a 34 and start with a fresh 70. Yep they sure do care about us out here, lol

Here's my yesterday, end of day...
Arrive Walmart DC, go to on-duty and check in. Move twice to advance in line, after 12 minutes I change to off duty and shut down the tractor...wait a couple of minutes; start up tractor, advance, turn off and go inside to turn in paper work and get drop location. Stay off duty.
Leaving the gate I switch manually to drive and traverse the typical monster lot, back into space assigned go to off duty and shut down. Taking about 8 minutes I drop trailer and do the workflow.
Next, while still off duty and keeping well below thresholds, drive to Walmart private fleet offices to inquire about dedicated assignment. From my dp to office is close to a mile; 1/2 mile as the crow flies. Power off again and I am inside 30 minutes.
Leaving the office I start by changing to drive line and exit, 20 miles to TS for the night.
None of the driving I did in off duty was registered and the Omni track did not make any changes or correct any inputs.
It appears that the manual input to line 3 prevents the system from adding any line 1 or line 4 driving; also maintaining activities well below thresholds keeps the system from getting all up in ur business.
Modifications to gaming the oversight matrix...in a way it's almost kind of fun finding ways to outsmart the IT engineers, programers, DOT lawyers, the company regulatory department and petty buracrats who forget that the real world seldom blends appropriately with "well meaning " but critically short sighted attempts at fostering a safe environment.

I'm gonna have to get into the habit of manually switching into drive. The days of saving a couple minutes after leaving every stop are long gone.
