That's exactly why I stay out longer before the holiday season between September and November. Same crap same time every year.

Last load with This place and I get a Coors load out of Golden. What are the odds That got the first time in 12 years and 3 different carriers, that I will make it out of here with no drama.

Trailer has a blown tire and I just lost 40 minutes of drive time because of how this stupid thing does our logs now. I only have 9 hours left on my 70 with no recap.
Haven't even scaled it yet, because I don't want to lose more drive time than I have to.

Waiting for the service truck(well the call from the service truck)

Just FYI, all the new trucks (2016) coming in have 1200 watt power inverters hard wired into them. So, some of you old foggies that have or were planning to turn down a new automatic may want to think twice!:p

I know this is a silly question but not having ever driven a tanker, what's it like compared to a 53' trailer? I'm guessing it's easier to maneuver.

Not silly at all. It is easier to maneuver at slow speed, due to no overhang, and it's shorter than a 53. Now there are some full length tankers, but I don't think we haul them.
You have to wary of the level of grades on whatever surfaces you are traveling. The Your product can travel up the sides of trailer and greatly affect your centre of gravity. You can easily have a low speed roll over if you take a corner too fast. I think we had a rollover in 2014 that was an 11 mph one. I don't remember where he was, but he was on an uneven section and turned and between the product moving and the trailer still being uneven, it flipped him.
Surge can also be a horrendous PITA if you're in stop and go traffic, but it's not that bad once you get your shifting down.

The trucks and trailers are also not as high.
But you do have to be very aware of every square in of that trailer, especially the darn ladder and the crows nest. Some of the customers have all sorts of things hanging down all over and you can easily snag something with them.

totes in a van can give you a pucker too. Very odd feeling , not pulling them ona regular basis. You could feel it move.
