Don't know if they're good or not.
They're policy seems to be they hire experienced driver only.
One new CDL grad posted they hired him to drive box trucks and might put him in big trucks after he gains experience on the road. Seems fair.
Probably worth the drive to check them out face to face. Website looks ok.

Man you've got a twisted sense of what was going on back then. We only had about 30 unseated new trucks that sat 6 months back in '09. The fleet widdled down to around 350 units and now it's back around 520.

Knight has nothing to do with how things are run at Barr Nunn. I feel Young Guns frustration. Everyone here is frustrated with a certain customer that we are trying to service. I hate it. This customer treats drivers with zero respect. They show zero respect for our time.

I think Young Gun put his foot down one too many times. This time they said take it or leave it I think. Florida is tough to get back to OTR. ESPECIALLY, with this new freight we are working out and loosing another that was actually good freight after looking back at it.

I've made the most money I've ever made these last three weeks. That being said I'd rather make $300 less per week than have to deal with this customer unless things get addressed.

    Sorry Young Gun,
    Hope things turn out well.

This is very true, right now Knight acts kind of like a bank for Bar-Nunn. Knight has stated over and over again they dont want to mess with Bar-Nunn and don't really seem interested in doing anything with it other the taking $$ off the top for their "investment" into it.

Sorry to hear that. Perfect example just how most companies are now. There is no loyalty anymore because they don't care about the worker. They don't care if morale is down. You don't even need to perform well anymore it really does not help anymore to go the extra mile and to do them favors. If you ever had a problem on the road they will most likely burn you than try to work with you and keep you its a very sad time that we live in now my friends it shouldn't have ever gotten this bad

This is one of the main reason I took a credit card 6 years ago and bought my own truck. There are so many companies that crap all over top of the drivers, while the hard working office jockeys that have never driven a truck decide how to run things. Among getting paid better than the drivers with better hours is one of them.

I wish there was more OO out here to give the big money companies some competition

What customer? I'd be interested in hearing whether it's someone I know or not.

I can name a few for refeer. Walmart, Americold, Safeway, Smiths, Albertsons and good old King supa! All of these are bottom feeder customers that I absolutely hate to deliver to. Zero respect for drivers and takes them FOREVER to get anything done.

Not to be trolling, but my life has been a lot more fun since I stopped expecting anything from people I don't know. I no longer expect warm fuzzy love from anybody. Truck stops, all rip us off. Shippers and consignees, we're just a tool for them to move their product from A to B. And it's OK, because when I'm rolling down some open road, listening to Old Time radio or playing CD's, it's just me and my old blue Freightliner, and that's just fine with me. I guess what I'm saying is, my life is a lot better since I quit giving a @$%# about what other people say or do.
