I've never heard of them running people down on the westbound side. We used to run that one all the time. The eastbound one coming out of CA is a different story as far as chase cars go. Lol

CLOSED means Could Loaded On Some Extra Dummy

Wisconsin also has those TRUCK BYPASS or TRUCK MUST STOP signs, activated by the scales in the road, they don't want to waste time by weighing trucks that are not close to weight limits.

As long as were on I-40, I saw CRST driver park in the emergency lane past the on ramp leaving the NM POE one night, and walking back to the coup with his paper work. Wouldn't it be easier just to drive through like everyone else?

I once got stopped at the NM POE in Gallup at my old employer when the boss has forgotten to renew the NM permit for all the trucks. While I waited for him to do it, i witnessed what the DOT goes through with drivers who lack basic English skills.

    "Your NM permit is expired."
    "I have IFTA."
"Not your IFTA, your New Mexico weight distance tax."
    "I have IFTA."
    *facepalm*

Whenever I get a red light and the scale is open, I just assume it's an error and I keep rolling. :)

They probably forgot to turn the prepass off. It's got to be easer to go though the bypass lane of the closed scale than to go in and explain what happened at the next coop down the road.

If there are multiple messages (prepass, open/closed sign , and must exit/ bypass sign ) whichever one tellsme it's ok to keep going is the one I listen to.

If you want me in there... coordinate and I'll comply.

    Ain't skeert !
