1998 freightliner century

    My brother has a 98 century with a series 60 detroit engine. We can't seem to find the Jake break control on the dash. I dont know for sure the year of the engine, but I'm most certain its a 98 also. Did this engine not come with a Jake? Someone please break this down to me.

    I believe it was an option. Whoever he got it from, probably didn't order it with jake brakes. I know when I work for Schneider, their century didn't have j brakes

    Jakes are optional several of the mega fleets will spec trucks with out them to save a dollar
