I would check out Martin's Milk Service, have a friend that works there and for the most part is happy running between Chicago and the Twin Cities, I live to far and out of route to apply there but it sounds like the guys how run OTR are getting there miles, they haul a lot of cheese and also have a Warehouse in St. George UT. I guess the senior drivers run Cali. But my friend did say that they will run you...

hey im a driver at kool trans. are we a part of knight yes and no. it was a contract made between knight and kool for new equipment. yes we run knight loads and yes we have their benefits package. FOR NOW. we are currently getting our own number to broker our own loads we offer military veteran benefits and its very family oriented. i call in and give my name and they know who i am. we are our own company slowly breaking away from knight. yes we use their terminals but we dont deal with knight unless its a breakdown or after hours. however we are building a bigger terminal of our own and we have lots of eye candy too lol very friendly there id give it a shot. we do have owner ops and we have company. there has been talk of working a system like JCT. but we are still growing. our ceo and founder does not want to be over 150 company drivers.
