I'm not trying to be difficult or obtuse, beyond NOT being an O/O for Swift (another term for indentured servant) I'm open minded. I have something I'm working on, if that doesn't work out I'll find an OTR comany willing to give me a sign-on bonus and drive a while longer.

Best luck to you , pal. I hope things work out for you .

Yes , you were being obtuse which is not a problem and thanks to Mrs. Swartzenberger (5th grade, Andover , NY 1957). I actually know what that means .

San Antonio, just dropped my Ross load at some non-descript warehouse. Plenty of MTs so now I'm killing time before my Amazon load. I've hauled an Amazon load every Xmas season I've been with Swift, glad this year is no different.

Do you REALLY remember the name of your 5th grade teacher? I'm younger than you and I only remember the names of 2 teachers, both from high school.

hehe I still remember my 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. McGuire. Van Halen should have used her in their "Hot for Teacher" MTV video.

Yeah , she was the first one that got me interested in learning . The others seemed to be more babysitter than teacher . There were a few others that I remember mainly because of the scandalous things they did .

Heck, I can remember my first teacher when I was five, Mrs. Marshall, and this was because of her 2 black poodles and then when I had her husband for my principal in High School and then one English teacher that was suspended one time because her skirts were too short and she liked to sit on the edge of the desk and then another English teacher that I became good friends with her husband and then when in the military I returned home on leave and they were divorced and she invited me to join her for some drinks. that was a night. I was lucky in high school. Open campus in the 70's

Still here in hotel. Trying to get the planners to understand that I am not going north. At least the Black Bear is open again. Great Chili Cheeseburger last night, and it is not even not even on the menu and tonight some of their tri tip steak. Yummy

    The Lancaster planner strike again!

I sit 2 hours waiting for my Amazon load only to be told "it's cancelled".

So I figure that I'll just DH up to Grand Prairie and pick up my 2nd load (which took me home). OH NO!
The numbskulls at Lancaster start planning me on loads that go PAST Phoenix towards CA with no t-call (I have hometime starting Friday).

After a bit of waiting I find a load on Mac30 that will get me home only to have it disappear before my eyes. So I call IGH and my old DM answers. She found me a load that drops 5 miles from my house and says "Screw the planners, here it is". I don't even mind that it doesn't pick up til Thursday in Corpis Christi.

    I HATE Lancaster!

    Memphis terminal.

I waited so long for a load that I thought I was blackballed for turning down that t-call load yesterday.
It came in at around 1530, picking up here and going to Fountain, CO for a 0500 live unload on the 18th at a Kroger.
It's a hv load, but I'm guessing that since I'm picking it up at a terminal the usual 200 miles before stopping won't be necessary.

NOAA weather shows no bad weather between here and there, so that is nice.
