Yeah I agree with you. I get so tired of being told "Oh yeah they'll take you, no problem" by ops/cs, and then the customer telling me "you were supposed to be here hours/days ago and now you have to sit and wait/come back another time/have your company reschedule." Or, my personal favorite, the customer is closed despite multiple reassurances from CS that they will be open when you arrive.

 

I'm trying to hold on until my 4th quarter bonus pays out...the stupidity of Green Bay and cs in general has me tasting my favorite H. L. Mencken quote.
"Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spin on his hands, hoist the black flag and begin slitting throats."
This is a classic and in no way should it be considered as any thing more than a colorful metaphor for the frustration many of us feel.

Talked to my dbl today, he didn't particularly care about the fact that I refused the load and understood why. All he was told before I called was that I was given a load and refused to pick it up despite being told I had to.

 

Finally got a load about 2 hours ago. Plenty of time on it for on time delivery. Started heading over to pick it up. An hour down the road the load is removed and I'm told to try and recover a load that needs to deliver in Seattle tomorrow morning at 0700 for a 2 hour live unload. Since I've already started my day the earliest I will be able to deliver it is 1000 tomorrow... Is after hours really playing this ####ing game with me right now...

Send in safe/legal with impossible dispatch and then don't worry about it. Try visualizing yourself as a duck in the rain. The water just flows right off and you're just quack, quack, quaking away. And then you fly over Chris Loftgren and decorate his head.

 

My wife always wants me to let her talk to the planners and other staff within Schneider and give a them piece of her mind. But before we can move on from their crap, gotta put up with it. And to put up with it, you gotta stay employed!
