Doesn't make a difference what I'm in , the reply was to a statement that their fleet is a 100% junk and if you can't see the hogwash in a statement like that then I can't help ya.

I don't think he actually thinks that anyone would believe that 100% of their trucks are junk....however, since International's are synonymous with junk, and since 99.9% of Poly's fleet are Prostar's, it is safe to surmise that a larger percentage of their truck fleet are of a lesser quality, and are far inferior to other non-International truck fleets. Couple that with the ragged fleet of decrepit trailers, and a shop staff that has to go to the proctologist to have their head examined...a new hire stands a better chance of getting junk equipment than getting something reliable. And since they have said that they aren't buying new trucks until after the SC plant is up and running, the equipment situation isn't going to get any better for the foreseeable future.

"The company announced a $100 million investment in Chester County on Oct. 27, about nine years after it initially gave notice of the plan. Poly-America subsidiary, Carolina Poly Inc., will operate a 475,000-square-foot factory on 198 acres in Chester County that is due to start up by mid-2017." Found from a google search on Poly South Carolina.

I just pulled one of the 100 brand new 2016 trailers. I must say I like them better than the Utility trailers and they seem to be lighter. Weird new numbering tho lol

They are actually on their 3rd plot of land. 1st one was down near Columbia, 2nd was in the city of Chester's industrial park, now they're up by Rock Hill. Let's hope they actually get the thing built before the economy tanks again. That is what many said caused them to delay building this long.

You guys crack me up , you really do. You get in a truck and want to run it in to the ground then call it junk when it breaks down. I watch guys go over rough tracks with rough crossing signs at 65 mph if that's the speed limit.
I watch them rip through dirt lots with craters at 25 and 30mph. I slow to 40 45 in spots along the interstates because the road just flat out sucks yet every truck on that road is still doing 65 and 70 or more even , and these guys immediately holler the truck sucks when it breaks down Drive them into the ground in 2 yrs and blame it all on the MFG and the company what a joke. I've gotten into 1 yr old trucks driven by a team , went back in and ask what else they had , then jumped in a 4 yr old real clean truck and had not one problem 1st 8 months. The guy that took the 1 yr old truck was on a hook 9 days later , then again 3 weeks later. I chose a 4 yr old I9000 380.000 over a Kw , 180.000 I've always treated the truck i drive as if I had to pay the maintenance on it , know what ...
I break down a hell of a lot lets than company drivers that give a rats ### about the truck cause it isn't their's .

Quit making excuses for International...you've beat that dead horse before, and it doesn't hold water. If it were driver abuse causing these issues, then the multitude of class action lawsuits wouldn't be piling up against Navastar, and many major companies wouldn't be moving on to other models because of their issues with Internationals. You act like we all are a bunch of rookies out here just tearing #### up...if that were the case, you would suspect a lot of freight claims since we're driving so wreckless. If we're driving so nuts that we're tearing up equipment, we must be tearing up product too. I have driven every manufacturers truck except KW and Western Star, and International is far and away the most unreliable, not just Poly's, but Crete's were just as bad. The last truck I owned had over 800k on the clock, I drove it the same way, and it broke down less in a year than Poly's do between their 15k mile oil changes. And some of the blame has to fall on how they are maintained, and who is doing the work. I did my own, and my truck NEVER left me on the side of the road so bad that -I- couldn't get it fixed enough to get it home. You got lucky and got a decent truck when you got your latest...

In my opinion, the only people who should buy Internationals are sickly old men who are only out here to milk along a meager paycheck until they are so sick that they can't pass a physical.

    Whatever , The fleet isn't a 100%junk , that's b s , I have a truck that's broke down once at 50,000 Bendix went, next day I was up and running, it's at 182.000 now.
Other Poly guys have told me the truck they're in is alright. You complain about anything that doesn't put a great big wet smile on your face dude ... admit it.
I been in INTL's , Frt Shakers , Volvo's A 150.000 Kw , L series Macks , Ford's and GMC's , I've taken junk and work day in and day out with the shops for weeks while a local driver, until that truck was one of the best in the junk fleet we had.
But they weren't 100% junk ...Why , because some drivers will work to make a truck better then take care of it , and some trucks will break you down in your efforts.
The post you responded to , was directed to every brand of truck out there. Drivers generally are abusive until they learn that it doesn't pay to tear the thing up in 10 months. Stop speaking for every driver at poly , the fleet isn't 100 % junk , there are drivers in trucks not having problems here. I am 1 of them. the guy I went through orientation with is another Army guy is another , Majestyk is another , LilRob's another . And those are just guys I know are okay here. I got lucky getting a decent one yes maybe , but 3367 I worked with the shop on until it started treating me as I treated it. I had my fair share and then some of shop time , and by the time I was offered a new 1 , 3367 was good enough that I would have kept that vs a tag axle or max force. Fact is they had the cummins and I grabbed it. Example about your frt claims , Plant life south of Abilene TX , the grow place we take bulks sacks to. I and 4 other Poly drivers go there from loading in GA. 1 load was upright still on plts , it was mine I arrived a few hrs after everyone else. When I walked in they were not eager to see another poly driver.
I ask what the problem is , they said all 4 before me was all shifted off the plts. My reply is that Jackson MS I 20 sucks and will shift a load at the posted speed limit. I do 45 through there , mine should be good. Opened it up and it was all nice and upright as it was back in GA. I knew when I got the load what I had and how I needed to drive to get it there without a load shift , too many drivers these day just don't give a hoot 1 way or the other , it's all about going as fast as you can and beat the other guy to the next load isn't it ?
It is , you young guys that mismanage your finances need to make a million dollar a year to find a comfort zone , us old broken down sickly old guys do it to live a few years longer , but manage our finances well enough to do so.
