That much notice is highly unusual. I hate the bad news but the notice is very nice. Best wishes that you find a good replacement.

Ohh... I am very sorry for that man... Life is full of changes isn't it? But you are still young and strong and smart enough to find something equally enjoyable and profitable...

Yeah I guess the companies contract is up for bid in March and they figure they won't be re-bidding it because we are at the bottom of the rate now and they won't do it for any less. It's just a race to the bottom here these days.

Hey... a girl friend of mine moved to Tacoma, WA and is doing very well, running local and going home every day... She likes to drive at night... Making $20.00 an hr... Said there's plenty of driving jobs in WA...

Yes... it's a good idea to take some time to relax, travel around, check other opportunities out there... I am sure you will find something good... But hey... don't spend all your money... Always good to have some in reserve just in case..

I bounced a theory off the fellow that unloads me at Ceva.I think they try their drivers and when they all decline a load then we get it.
They are paid by the load just like me.
As hard as dispatch will run you is as good as you'll do.

What is this "profitable" you speak of Miss Rocks. It ain't hot shot in Houston!

First was Channelview for two drums brake/parts cleaner going to Metro.
Second was about 4 miles from there 2 pallets 1385# going to SDV.
Third was a pallet from Ceva 167# going to "MPC" in Texas City.
Forth was a 29# carton at Altus going to Stafford which I did prior to finding out MPC was Marathon Petroleum Company and taking a whole hour to get in and out of.
He said unless he gets something good I'm off until Monday. Got home 7:30.
