T/A in Prescott, AR. I guess that ECT is back to their games about not telling actual window. Asked at the window in Memphis and she pulled up the screen and said 2359 on the 27th. Sent a message to my terminal and got back one that said the same thing. I think that Memphis answered it. This load is going to Transmex and many of us know, they are closed on Sunday night except a guard and also the border is closed on Sunday so I know that there is a window. Plus when I received the suggested trip plan, it showed delivery on the 28th. Tired of these games again. At the 50mph that Swift dispatches at it would take almost 60 hours to get there and that is with the breaks and only a 10 hour and they are giving me 58. If there was not a window the system would not have even dispatched me on it.

Looking at the weather right now and there is a very good chance that I might be staying right here. Saturday all day severe weather from Texarkana almost all the way to Ozona. Forecast show shear winds and thunderstorms and hail. Possibility of tornados. I have all of 8k in the box. Will talk to dispatch or ECT in the morning and see what happens. What is in the box is not that important. Also see what the weather is doing.

Baird, TX. Someone please turn off this wind. I am so tired of it. Today 20mph gusting to 40mph out of the South and all of 8k in the box. This morning talked to one of our ECT's that actually knows what is going on and he said that my drop was weird. Told me to do a MAC22 for Monday at noon and just say late t-call and later got a message PTA changed for then. Then told me that they are watching the weather down here and they told me that probably another MAC22 tomorrow. Forecast is showing snow, heavy at times from Pecos all the way into New Mexico. I know that it can get real weird on that stretch of interstate.

What I used to do is put the time I wanted to delver in the Loaded Call to see if it would take. If it kicked back then I knew it was a firm appointment time, otherwise if the Loaded Call was Received and Updated with my times I knew I had at least that much window.

I delivered to Lowe's at around 1100 this morning and then waited for a pplan.
Nothing after a few hours, so I called a Denver planner.
He said he was repositioning trucks down to Lancaster, so I took a repo to Lancaster since there was nothing else.
    Back to TX, yuk!

I stopped at Johnson's Corner for the night.
It's going to be cold, at or below 0.

I may not make it very far tomorrow with the weather between here and there.
And I see Dallas area is under tornado warnings.

What was strange about this one is that when I was sent it, it showed picking up on the 25th and it showed a t-call for the 23rd so I knew that it was strange, plus it is going to Transmex and it was for 2359 on a Sunday. They are closed along with the border, and when I sent in my loaded call and my time it was kicked back to send MAC 22

That's because it was late to begin with. They just needed a driver to get it there asap, and they don't always update the times on the load assignment.
I get those kinds of things now and then. I just send a mac 22 with my actual ETA to update them.

And I have a feeling that I will be sending another one tomorrow watching this weather. Just read a few minutes ago that El Paso is in blizzard conditions right now, and what was also strange is that the load was siting on the yard on the 24th and plenty of drivers there so I know that there is no rush plus also this morning I asked ECT if it showed that I was tracking late and it should have and he said no, I am not

My friend in El Paso is sharing the cutest pics of her kids playing in the snow right now. Would I call it Blizzard conditions? NO, maybe 3-4 inches. Would I tell you to pay attention to weather alerts etc hell yeah because WTF it's snowing in TX and 70 in NH.......

It's funny how a load can sit until the last minute, or be late, when there are drivers just sitting around waiting for a load.
I've t-called loads at terminals and picked up at the same time, and it was a late load. But there were a dozen drivers just sitting around complaining about no loads.

I've also been repositioned to a different area, and when I get there the freight is dead.
So I'm wondering about when I get to Lancaster.

My fuel route has me going south of Colorado Springs before I start heading east down to I-40.
Not sure if that is the best way; I could probably make more miles tomorrow heading east on I-70 to Limon and then down. Either way gets me to my fuel stop in Amarillo, but I might run into less bad weather going through Limon.
Since it'll be Sunday and ECT people, they would never approve a change. I guess I'll just do what I feel like doing.

Watching the weather, I do not think that 70 to 287 and down would be a great way. Amarillo is getting nailed right now and all the way up North from there. Agreed about t-called loads. I had one that was supposed to t-call in Phoenix going to California and then was pulled telling me that there was no drivers available in the area. Thinking, what, Phoenix on a Monday morning. I have done also the same about getting to a area because there is so much freight so hurry and bust my butt to get there only to be told, all the loads have been covered. We bobtailed a lot of company trucks down to cover, and I am thinking, what about the trucks that are bringing in loads and are going to be looking and they are coming here because told that there is plenty of freight. But then again, they have to keep the company trucks moving.
