Is the new bestpass scale bypass working for anyone? Every scale, closed or open didn't give me anything...red or green. And I know the scale's system was on because random other trucks went on by.....don't tell me yet another piece of technology has waited for me to come along to f'up. And I know it isn't placement on the windshield because I have had my personal Prepass go off in various locations in my sleeper, including in a tote full of clothes under my bed (at Poly)

The ezpass part works. I went down the WV tpk, and the gate picked it up just fine.

 

Working for me so far in OK, CO, WY, SD and ND.

 

Mine has been working, check the batteries maybe???

 

Mine doesn't have a test button like on a normal prepass, just 3 lights and a speaker hole. And the back is sealed. Did it work right away, like maybe it was so close the holiday when I picked it up, they haven't activated it yet?

 

just cause someone doesn't like elogs doesn't mean they are an outlaw trucker, there are some who don't wanna stop 10 min from home because they're out of ours and not tired, I've ran out of ours and not been tired so i sat there, when did i finally get tired,when it was time to drive again, its not all about outlaw trucking, its about watching a clock countdown and beep telling you your tired, i understand for some they wanna run coast to coast non stop but for most its the little things that decide your schedule, how could anyone be more alert with a machine telling them when to sleep and when to drive? as far as adapting to change, with the technology coming in the future everyone will be hanging up their keys or at least turning them over to cheaper help. ok i know this a magnum thread so carry on, I've enjoyed reading, sounds like a decent gig so far, i guess it just bothers me when people assume because you don't like elogs your an outlaw trucker, I can understand everyone defends different things, heck, millions defended Hitler right to the end.

The rules on paper and elogs are EXACTLY the same. Same 14hrs, same 11, same 8, same 2, same 34, same 70... Exact same rules out of the same exact book.
What you hate about elogs is you can't cheat and lie as easy....
In some eyes... You cheat and lie, your an outlaw. Maybe your just lying about 20 minutes... Or 20 hrs... Still lies, still cheating... Do what you want... I don't care. But don't make ridiculous statements.....

Call the office and see if they can check and see if that prepass is registered. Mine worked right away.

probably not the right choice of words there, but as far as elogs i don't think everyone should be punished because of drivers who put money over safety, I've used them and will use them again and i can adapt, but in my experience I've driven more tired on elogs, will i use them, yes, do i think they work for me, no. doesn't make me an outlaw trucker. i guess one would have to define "outlaw trucker" first and also what ones definition of "safety" is.
