Location for the night

Back home until Monday, then its back to paying bills.

 

At the house. Will be here for sometime. Truck in the shop cracked head. Last week I notice some milky looking substance coming from blow by tube. I checked my coolant reservoir and it was low. I bought a steel reservoir a couple years ago, its hard to see in it. Anyway I took truck to the Cat dealership last week. I'm going to have them do a Platinum rebuild. It has been using 6 to 8 gallons of oil between oil changes. Its been doing this for 4 years.

I called Carolina Cat last week to see if I could get truck in. They told me it would be 10 days before they could see it. So, I called Gregory Poole in Mebane, NC and they told me they told me to bring it in. I took it there on Monday and they looked at it on Wednesday.

A couple of years ago I had gotten a quote from Carolina Cat on a Platinum rebuild. I told they shop Forman about this and he said send him the quote, and he was going to compare prices. I wont know til Monday about quote. I'm already approved through Cat financing. I have not told the guy at Gregory Poole I'm waiting to see what type of numbers he come up with. Before I tell him I'm already approved. I think its time for rebuild the truck has 860k mi.
